Besides the usual threats such as hunting for eggs or meats, the main reason peoples hunting Hawksbill is because of their shells (the rear shell scales) has a unique and beautiful pattern. Generally they use Hawksbill’s shell for jewelry and decorative equipment

Our Project

This program is in collaboration with PROFAUNA, Turtle Foundation, “Too Rare to Ware”, USFWS, and Indonesian Government Institutions.

This campaign is actively national with the Coordinating Center office located in Bali, Indonesia

Our Activity

The campaign program includes increasing national and international tourist awareness about the negative effects of buying products made from Hawksbill’s shell.

Especially, impact on the hawksbill’s population in Indonesia
